ESCORT M1 integrates into existing windshield-mounted ESCORT detectors, eliminating the need for additional windshield space or extra power outlets
ESCOR, leading manufacturer of high-performance radar and laser detection systems, is introducing its first dash camera, the ESCORT M1.
The new ESCORT M1 dash cam records the video of the road ahead in 1080p high definition quality and is optimized for both day and night recording, the company says.
It is designed to attach to most ESCORT detector mounts while also using the same power source to operate the dash cam and detector. This integration thus eliminates the need for additional cords and power sources in the car.
The M1 is controlled through the ESCORT M1 app via Wi-Fi connectivity. Using the app, drivers can control the dash cam functionality including resolution and settings. Through the app, users can also download footage from the dash cam directly to their smart devices and share instantly with insurance companies or other parties.
Other special features of the ESCORT M1 are the Emergency Record Button and G-Sensor that allow the device to lock down important video files in cases of emergency, whether by manual activation or by collision detection.
In addition, the super-capacitor technology allows the ESCORT M1 to withstand extreme car temperatures.
The ESCORT M1 is optimized using Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) technology for the best possible quality in light and dark road conditions. In addition, its extra wide field of view captures everything on the road in front of the vehicle and in the lanes around it.
The ESCORT M1 enables both current and new ESCORT users to integrate driver alert and detection technology with video capture into a single, small section of the windshield, according to Manuel Jaime, Chief Technology Officer of Cedar Electronics.
Priced at $199.95, the ESCORT M1 is available now exclusively at EscortRadar.com. General availability through Authorized ESCORT Resellers is scheduled for early 2019.
