Tuesday, September 10, 2013: Electronics and Computer Software Export Promotion Council (ESC’s) will participate in Indian Trade Fair slated to be held in Dubai on 3-5 September, 2013. Under the banner of ESC, ten Indian ICT companies are supposed to display various ICT innovations. Kamal Vachani, Regional Director of ESC for the Middle East opined that this platform will be utilized by many Indian companies in order to launch new ICT products.
Inspite of global slowdown, the Middle East region has good growth rates. This is the reason for several Indian companies trying to improve their business in this region. Hence, Dubai has become an ideal location for this purpose with Middle East region being one of the fastest growing ICT markets in the world.
As per estimates, electronics goods exports to Middle East Countries during the year 2012-13 amounted to US$ 1667 million while, exports of software and related services amounted to US$ 1852 million. This is an indication of the increasing interest among the Indian ICT exporting community, who wish to research markets in the Middle East and the neighbouring countries.
Sanjav Verma, Consul General of India in Dubai H.E., appreciated the Electronics and Computer Software Export Promotion Council (ESC) for its efforts in promoting the exports of Electronics Hardware and Computer Software & Services in the Middle East region.
As many as 500 software and services buyers from more than 75 countries such as USA, UK, Europe, Middle East, Japan, China, Korea, Latin America, Africa, CIS, ASEAN region etc. will participate at this B2B forum.
