Epishine has purchased contract manufacturing services from Ynvisible in Linköping Sweden according to a report by printedelectronicsnow. The two companies are also collaborating to combine Epishine’s solar cells with Ynvisible’s printed electronic displays for use in high volume and ecologically sustainable Internet of Things (IoT) devices and everyday smart objects says the report.
Low power printed electronic displays
The report says that Epishine’s energy harvesting modules use indoor lighting to power sensors and other low power electronics. It also adds that Ynvisible’s designers and electronics engineers have already used Epishine’s solar cells to power Ynvisible’s low power printed electronic displays.
Both the companies use technologies and components which are based on non-toxic materials and can be integrated into a range of end application cost -effectively claims the two companies. Epishine and Ynvisible will work together to bring out their joined capabilities to the IoT markets.
