Eltra City completes a 225km trip on one charge, earning a spot in the India Book of Records.
Greaves Electric Mobility’s three-wheeler, the Greaves Eltra City, has set a new standard with its flagship electric model. This vehicle impressively completed a 225-kilometre trek from Bangalore to Mysore on just one charge, establishing it as the longest-range three-wheeler in India and securing its recognition in the India Book of Records.
Dubbed the ‘Eltra City Freedom Ride,’ this venture was organized to commemorate Independence Day, showcasing the vehicle’s superior efficiency and environmental benefits. The route featured prominent landmarks like the Vidhan Soudha, HAL Ajeet on Cubbon Road, and Tipu Sultan’s mausoleum, culminating at the Freedom Fighter’s Park in Mysore.
Equipped with a 10.8 kWh lithium-ion battery and a 9.6 kW motor, the Greaves Eltra City delivers a strong performance that facilitates smooth travel. It supports a maximum load of 528 kg and offers top-tier features like a 14-degree grade ability, 49 Nm of peak torque, and hill hold assist, which is especially advantageous in complex urban settings. The design prioritizes safety, lowers maintenance costs, and maximizes operational efficiency, making it an attractive option for both drivers and businesses.
The record-setting journey was achieved using the vehicle’s Eco mode, emphasizing Eltra City’s advanced technology and its capability to extend its driving range. This use of Eco mode serves to underline the Eltra City’s leadership in the electric three-wheeler market.
