Lieutenant Governor and Chief Minister of Delhi launched India’s biggest E-bus initiative, with Tata Motors reaching the Milestone of providing 1,000 E-buses nationwide.
On September 5, 2023, Tata Motors, India’s leading commercial vehicle producer, provided 400 advanced Starbus EV buses to the Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC), marking a step towards fulfilling a larger order of supplying 1,500 eco-friendly buses for a 12-year span. These buses, crafted in adherence to the Make in India and Atmanirbhar Bharat campaigns, promote a greener, safer, and more comfortable commuting experience in Delhi, echoing the company’s dedication to enhancing urban transport nationwide, with over 1,000 e-buses already supplied across India.
The inauguration ceremony was graced by notable figures, including the Lieutenant Governor and Chief Minister of Delhi, who praised the initiative as a vital move towards greener, more efficient public transport, and a boost to Delhi’s air quality.
