January 13, 2015: Crompton Greaves (CG), an Avantha Group company, has signed an agreement with French firm Arelis to manufacture and supply electronics components to aerospace, defence and a host of other sectors in collaboration.
Crompton Greaves offers electrical products, power generation and on the other hand, Arelis’ expertise lies in design and manufacturing of electronic equipments.
A release from Crompton Greaves states that as per the MoU signed by CG with Arelis, both the firms will jointly look for manufacturing and distribution of hybrid microelectronics for high mix-mid volume market in addition to high runner hybrid microelectronics markets for aviation, space flight, defence, power, utilities and telecommunications.
Crompton Greaves will domestically produce components and sub assemblies for Indian as well as international markets, given the technology transfer from Arelis for hybrid microelectronics, said the MoU.
Both, CG and Arelis have jointly agreed on manufacturing and distribution of electricals, electronics and microelectronics components to major Indian aerospace, defence programmes and to global original equipment manufacturers.
