As a part of this joint venture, the company has established 14.4 MW of rooftop solar installations over six industrial sites in India. These installations are projected to reduce approximately 207,000 tons of CO2 emissions throughout their lifespan, highlighting Apple’s commitment to environmental sustainability. The partnership also focuses on providing essential renewable energy financing, helping industries reduce energy costs and transition towards green energy sources.
This strategic alliance adopts an innovative business model, which utilizes the environmental benefits from the financed projects to help Apple offset emissions from its corporate operations within India.
