Global networking giant Cisco and RV College of Engineering (RVCE) on Monday announced the launch of a Center of Excellence (CoE) in Internet of Things (IoT) for digital skills and training.
The center, located at the RVCE campus in Bengaluru, was inaugurated by Gaurav Gupta, Principal Secretary of Karnataka’s Department of IT, BT and S&T, and VC Gopalratnam, SVP-IT and CIO-International, Cisco.
According to IANS, over the next five years, the center will provide a specialized curriculum, preparing up to 10,000 students from 50 colleges across the state for careers in the digital world.
RVCE Principal K.N. Subramanya said that they are honored to work with Cisco in establishing the Center of Excellence in Internet of Things. The Center will shape the careers of thousands of students through our stellar faculty, specialized curriculum and quality infrastructure.
The specialized curriculum will comprise live and video-based learning and involve the application of technologies to real issues in collaboration with local industry and government bodies.
