Sparsh CCTV invested $3 billion to enhance production capacity, aligning with ‘Make in India’ for surveillance equipment, focusing on scaling operations in Kashipur.
Sparsh CCTV announces a strategic investment of $3 billion over the next five years to enhance capacity for tapping new opportunities emerging from the Government of India’s push to use ‘Made in India’ surveillance equipment. This investment will allow Sparsh CCTV to scale up its operations and strengthen its position as a market leader.
The company plans to establish an anchor unit in the Electronic Manufacturing Cluster 2.0 in Kashipur, Uttarakhand, with a one million camera production capacity per month. Moreover, Sparsh opened a new manufacturing facility in Haridwar last year, and the production capacity has already been ramped up to 2.5 million units per year from one million in the previous six months. The company has also set up two new warehouses in Haridwar, further enhancing its operational capabilities.
Recently, the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology has implied Essential Requirements for CCTV procurement mandating Cyber security certification and trusted value chain (defined per the Land Border clause of GFR), thus enabling preference for domestic manufacturers in government procurements. Sparsh CCTV, in full compliance with these requirements, has aggressively raised awareness of cybersecurity video surveillance and on-market strategies to capture a significant market share over the next two to three years.
