The Union Cabinet on Wednesday was apprised of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between India and Palestine on cooperation in the field of information technology and electronics.
The agreement intends to promote closer cooperation in the areas of e-Governance, m-Governance, e-Public Services Delivery, cyber security, software technology parks and start-ups ecosystem.
The MoU shall come into effect from date of signature of the parties and shall remain in force for a period of five years.
The MoU shall be implemented by establishing a working group on IT&E composed of representatives of the two parties. Bilateral cooperation in information and communication technology domain both business-to-business (B2B) and group-to-group will be enhanced. It envisages improving B2B collaboration leading to employment opportunities.
