Navratna defence public sector undertaking (PSU) Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) has signed MoUs with Gabriel Power and Energy Pvt Ltd and CoRover Pvt Ltd to leverage opportunities across the power and energy sectors and AI-based conversational solutions.
BEL and Gabriel’s partnership will introduce and manufacture products in India, such as EV chargers, smart meters, green hydrogen generation, hydrogen gensets, and solar steam solutions, for the government and private sectors.
In a press statement, BEL said that the venture is anticipated to significantly influence job prospects in the power and energy domains, propelling India’s stature as a prime global manufacturing hub for innovative power and energy solutions. The partnership boosts indigenous manufacturing and aligns with the government’s ‘Digital India’ vision.
Bolstered by global funds and international partnerships, Gabriel Power has developed cutting-edge technologies for products such as solar PV panels and hydrogen fuel cells. The company intends to produce several of these products in India, in tandem with BEL, targeting markets in India, Asia, the Middle East, and Africa.
BEL has also signed another non-exclusive two-year MoU with generative AI company, CoRover to indigenously develop and deploy generative AI platforms, with a special focus on CoRover’s BharatGPT platforms.
BEL, a forerunner in defence electronic products, offers comprehensive research, design, and production expertise across various segments, including radars and weapon systems, electronic warfare systems, and anti-submarine warfare systems.
