Dallas-based Avanci, a global firm in intellectual property licensing recently announced the appointment of Marianne Frydenlund, who will be heading the design and development of new programs for the Internet of Things (IoT) beyond the automobile industry. “Avanci welcomes Marianne Frydenlund, who joins us today to develop and lead new IoT licensing programs beyond automotive,” they tweeted.
Avanci was established in the year 2016 with the dream of changing how patent licensing is done in an era dominated by the Internet of Things (IoT). The company’s program for connected vehicles now has around 42 auto brands licensed to the 4G, 3G and 2G essential patents of 49 licensors, with more additional than 65 million licensed vehicles, around half of connected car shipments up until now.
Marianne has professional experience from Nordic Semiconductor, where she has most recently held the position of Senior Vice President, Legal & Compliance, with duties including patent licensing activities, having completed a plethora of landmark agreements.
