US-based Automotive tech firm Pi Square recently inaugurated its India tech centre in Bengaluru. The Technical Education Minister of Karnataka, Shri Ashwath Narayan inaugurated this new office at Karle Town Centre SEZ in North Bengaluru. As per the company, the centre aims to focus on embedded engineering services and innovative product development for global automotive and OEM giants, along with several Fortune 500 companies.
The company plans to scale up from initial 120-odd engineers at this facility to 1,000 over the next two years. The Bengaluru centre focuses on automotive technologies such as connected vehicles, in-vehicle infotainment, advanced driver-assistance system (ADAS), autonomous driving, software-over-the-air (SOTA) update, and functional safety.
At the event, the minister said, “Bengaluru houses more than 400 R&D centres in various technologies. Glad that Pi Square Technologies is opening its automotive tech centre here. With cars becoming increasingly software-driven, the Silicon Valley of India will play a major role in the global automotive industry.”
The CEO of Pi Square India, Srinivas Raju commented that the new tech hub is a major step towards realising the firm’s goal of advancement in product innovation and capacity development.
“The India Tech Centre — Bengaluru is an important part of our growth strategy. We are strengthening our partnerships with global automotive majors to achieve greener, safer, innovative, and efficient mobility solutions,” said Sarat Kothapalli, the group president of Pi Square.
