EV two-wheeler manufacturer Ather Energy has announced that it is looking for dealers to set up experience centres in key Tier-1 cities. These cities include Hyderabad, Mumbai, New Delhi among others. This is a part of the expansion plans of the company.
Ravneet Phokela, chief business officer, Ather Energy, said, “Intelligent electric vehicles are a new category for which the traditional retail model doesn’t really work. We have spent the last couple of years pioneering a new model in Chennai and Bengaluru, which is focused on experience. We are now looking for dealers and partners to expand across the country in a short period of time

Recently, the company has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Tamil Nadu government to build a new 400,000 sq ft factory. Ather Energy will design the retail space and experience for its dealer partners. The company said that it will focus on holistic experience-led model. It also said that the experience centres will allow prospective consumers to test ride and get hands-on experience with Ather’s product. Presently, the company is present in Bengaluru and Chennai.
