APSCHE intends to build advanced digital skills learning programmes in the fields of electronics and IT.
Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Electronics Sector Skills Council of India (ESSCI) to launch new-age industry-integrated programmes in the electronics and IT sectors, at the APSCHE office in Mangalagiri.
APSCHE said that this MoU will set up a working relationship between the two organisations to build ‘for industry, by industry’ focused & advanced digital skills learning programmes, facilitate on-the-job training, internships/apprenticeships & employment opportunities for the students, degree apprenticeship UG programmes, promote innovation, product development and start-up ecosystem, and any other skilling interventions agreed mutually.
The ESSCI officials had a word of praise for the various initiatives of the APSCHE, as reported. The MoU was signed by the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of ESSCI, Dr Abhilasha Gaur and APSCHE Secretary Y. Nazeer Ahammed.
Ahammed said the partnership would facilitate a conducive climate to establish skill labs/model training centres/Centre of Excellence in various emerging technologies. It would also conduct faculty development programmes and impart training to students and other identified groups on the National Skill Qualifications Framework (NSQF)-aligned qualifications and certifications.
The ESSCI is a not-for-profit organization registered under the Indian Companies Act 1956. It is supported by the National Skill Development Corporation. ESSCI aims to set up an efficient ecosystem for developing outcome-oriented skills for the Electronics Systems, Design and Manufacturing Industry (ESDM). It develops the curriculum, courses, information database and delivery system.
ESSCI works towards the standardization, accreditation and certification processes to enhance the employability of the Indian workforce globally. ESSCI intends to set up centres across India to impart digital skills to students and faculty.
