Andhra Pradesh is intent on improving its solar power situation and all the state needs is some serious backing from domestic solar energy providers. And looks like Shan solar has heard the voices. Apparently, Shan Solar, a Bengaluru-based solar module manufacturer has decided to establish a 50 MW solar park near Hyderabad in the region, according to The Hindu.
Confirming the reports, Suryaprakash Singapur, chairman and managing director, Shan Solar and Rajesh Rangarajan, chief marketing officer of the company has reportedly said that the company had allotted 250 acres for the solar park and will be investing around Rs 5 billion to develop the solar-powered park.
In order to complete the project, the company will create common infrastructure and evacuation facilities and would install solar panels in the project that is expected to be complete in a year.
Land acquisition and evacuation permission for the power generated there are two important factors for the project. “We feel we have better opportunity in the private captive space,” Singapur added.
Apart from the solar park, Shan Solar is also eyeing the roof-top solar segment, wherein it will establish solar panels of 100 kW or above capacity for installation.
