Antolin, a player in interior solutions, celebrated the inauguration of its new facility in Pune on January 18, 2023. As outlined in its transformation plan, this latest development aligns with Antolin’s strategic objective of emerging in high-growth potential markets. Marking its foray into the Indian market, the Pune plant is Antolin’s first in the country, dedicated to lighting, HMI systems, and electronics.
The inauguration was attended by Ernesto Antolin, Chairman of Antolin, alongside company clients, local authorities, and other Antolin executives. It is expected to create jobs for 200 skilled workers within two years.
The plant’s establishment goes hand in hand with Antolin’s commitment to enhancing its technology solutions segment in India. A dedicated team from the Lighting, HMI, and Electronics Business Unit has been formed specifically for the Indian market, aiming to meet the rising demand for smart advanced surfaces and functional lighting. This initiative enables Antolin to support local vehicle manufacturers in crafting more sophisticated interiors to enhance the passenger experience.
Notable projects at the new factory include ambient lighting for Mahindra’s new electric vehicle platform and a Central Touch Control Panel for Tata Motors’ Safari and Harrier SUVs, showcasing integration of smart surface technology, multi-colour ambient lighting, and electronic components.
Ernesto Antolin emphasized the strategic importance of the new Chakan plant and the specialized team, highlighting their role in adapting to customer needs and fostering innovation and technological advancement.
