OmniV’s revolutionary tech erases silos in system modelling, expediting pre-CAD digital twin creation.
In a bold move to reshape the electronics design landscape, global AI powerhouse Altair announced its acquisition of OmniV, an innovative technology originating from XLDyn. Strategically positioned in southeast Michigan, XLDyn’s product is set to streamline product development processes by bolstering open model-based systems engineering (MBSE) practices.
OmniV stands out with its unique ability to eliminate the divisive silos that often spring up between high-level system modelling and the intricate details of domain-specific simulations. OmniV ensures smooth integration with various enterprise data storages, including third-party vendor solutions, ensuring a comprehensive alignment with overarching program objectives.
Harnessing the MBSE methodology, OmniV consolidates cross-domain product development actions, offering a user-friendly, cohesive tool that promotes efficient workflow.
OmniV supports SysML, a versatile modelling language pivotal for wide-ranging systems engineering tasks. OmniV’s SysML-compliant diagrams deftly capture the crux of system architecture, including structures and behaviours. This facilitates easier and earlier digital twin creations in the developmental phase, even before delving into CAD models.
James R. Scapa, Altair’s visionary founder and CEO, remarked, “OmniV reshapes our understanding of products at the embryonic stages, long before tangible prototypes emerge. With OmniV, we’re bridging enterprise gaps with a purposeful MBSE and digital twin amalgamation. No matter the toolset, OmniV guarantees a transparent architecture MBSE approach, allowing for meticulous tracking of product metrics, including performance, expenditure, and mass.”
