Saturday, December 20, 2014: Alstom T&D India has bagged an order worth Rs 1515 million from Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Prasaran Nigam Ltd to expand its existing station in Bikaner and also to bring up a 400/220 kV sub-station in Bhadla.
The company noted in a statement that the new 400 kV sub-station will serve to evacuate the power form the Bhadla solar park and other upcoming solar parks in the area, whereas the expansion of Bikaner sub-station would serve to exchange the solar power generation with the national grid.
The designing, engineering, manufacturing, installation and commission of the sub-station for Bhadla would be served by Alstom T&D, whereas for the Bikaner sub-station expansion it would provide eight 400 kV bays, transformers, circuit breakers, control and protection relays. Alstom’s manufacturing facilities in India will look after all the equipments requirement. It came as a part of Rajasthan’s initiative to upgrade and scale the State’s transmission infrastructure, to transmit clean energy to the national grid.
