On Monday, Tata Motors announced its plans to introduce the electric variant of its economically priced mid-range vehicle, the Tata Nano. Tata is set to revamp the classic Nano by launching a dual version featuring both petrol and CNG options, alongside a fully electric model.
The Tata Nano EV, designed as a compact car, measures 3164 mm in length, 1750 mm in width, with a wheelbase of 2230 mm, and a ground clearance of 180 mm.
The vehicle’s interior is designed to comfortably seat four passengers. Tata Motors plans to equip the Nano EV with various modern amenities, including an advanced infotainment system, Bluetooth connectivity, six speakers, power steering, electric windows, and a 7-inch touchscreen. The car will also feature an anti-lock braking system complemented by electronic brake distribution.
Moreover, the Nano EV is expected to include multiple high-tech features that enhance driving experience and safety. With regards to performance and endurance, the electric model of the Tata Nano is powered by a 17 kWh battery, reputed to deliver up to 300 km of driving range on a full charge.
Reports suggest that the upcoming version of the Tata Nano will be a complete overhaul, offering new levels of power and uniqueness. The car is capable of accelerating to 100 km/h in under ten seconds, highlighting its improved performance capabilities.
