Telecom major Bharti Airtel has recently unveiled its massive network roll-out plans for Gujarat this financial year where it will be adding more than 6000 new sites, deploying additional 2000 KMs of optic fiber across the state.
According to a ETTelecom report the roll-out would take the number of Airtel’s mobile sites in Gujarat to 29000, up by 25 percent and expand the fiber backbone to 13800 KM. The telco said that in the previous year it added 6600 new sites and 500 KMs of fiber to its network.
The company said that the roll-out would mean addition of 16 new sites every day to Airtel’s future-ready network in Gujarat.

The telco’s network now covers 20000 towns and villages out of which 10000 towns and villages have 3G and 4G coverage.
