Recognising the contribution of Electronics For You (EFY) magazine in the Indian electronics industry, the All India Radio & Electronics Association (AIREA), Mumbai, has honoured Ramesh Chopra, founder and publisher of EFY. The felicitation ceremony took place on the occasion of 75th anniversary of AIREA. The association recognises that EFY magazine has played a key role in the Indian electronics industry ever since its inception in 1969.
Mitesh Mody, committee member, AIREA and founder of Bhavna Electronics, said, “Ramesh Chopra and his publications have made a commendable contribution in the growth of Indian electronics industry. His publications have been raising the issues of the industry for many years now and have become the voice of the industry. The publications act as a platform where industry can discuss initiatives and issues, apart from the knowing the latest happenings across the globe. We congratulate him for all his efforts and will continue to look forward to great work coming from him.”
Speaking on the occasion, Ramesh Chopra said, “I am thankful to AIREA for the honour. Indian electronics industry is undergoing an interesting time. The government is recognising the need of putting policies in place and is taking some significant steps which will have a long term impact. EFY is spreading word about such government and industry initiatives across the globe and playing its part in building of the electronics ecosystem in the country. We are thankful to have received co-operation from the government, associations like AIREA and industry in our efforts.”
AIREA also felicitated Ravi Pagar, managing director, elements 14, India, on the occasion. The felicitation ceremony was graced by ShivajiRao AdhalRao Patil, member of parliament and Sachin Aahir, member of legislative assembly, Maharashtra and other prominent members from the Indian electronics industry.
