American IT and consulting firm Accenture announces the acquisition of Cientra, a New Jersey-headquartered Indian product solutions company, to offer custom silicon solutions for global clients. Cientra’s consulting expertise in embedded IoT and application-specific integrated circuit design and verification bolsters Accenture’s capabilities in silicon design, helping accelerate semiconductor innovation to meet growing data computing demands. This strategic acquisition is critical to Accenture’s global expansion plans in the technology and semiconductor industry. The deal also integrates Cientra’s 530 employees into Accenture’s Advanced Technology Centres in India.
While neither company discloses financial details, this acquisition marks Accenture’s third deal in India’s silicon design and engineering service space.
