By mid-November 2023, the truck is expected to be ready for display. Patel emphasizes that the creation of this 8.5-tonne EV truck, capable of covering 300 Km on a single charge, stems from intense market demand, anticipating it to be a valuable addition to the logistics sector.

Electric trucks are celebrated for their environmental advantages, including eliminating tailpipe emissions. This can significantly curtail air pollution and greenhouse gas emissions, particularly in cityscapes. Typically, 8.5-tonne trucks are categorized as medium or heavy-duty, serving a range of functions from urban deliveries and regional distribution to some construction-related tasks.

Triton EV disclosed plans to introduce a 3.5-tonne EV Truck in another development. Patel believes that this new product is poised to revolutionize the commercial vehicle sector due to its stellar performance metrics. Specifically, he highlighted the truck’s mileage and maintenance aspects as potential industry game-changers.

Furthermore, Triton EV’s expansive Research and Development Center is located in Kheda, within the Anand District, close to Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Covering an area of 150,000 square feet, this centre is now the epicentre for Triton EV’s global R&D endeavours, focusing on the innovation of their EV Trucks and other specialized vehicles.
