PEDA Invites Bids For 5W Rooftop Solar Power Systems In Punjab

Successful bidders also have to manufacture, supply, erect, test, commission, and ensure net metering and quality control of the rooftop solar projects

The Punjab Energy Development Agency (PEDA) has invited bids to develop 5 MW of grid-connected rooftop solar systems under the renewable energy service company (RESCO) model on government buildings at various locations in the state.

The size of each project will be in the range of 50 kW to 500 kW at each location. One project may, however, comprise several rooftop units or clusters of installations in a given area.

The scope of work would include the operation and maintenance of the project for 25 years.

Additonally, it would include the site survey, finalization of feasibility report for identified locations, design, and engineering.

Successful bidders also have to manufacture, supply, erect, test, commission, and ensure net metering and quality control of the rooftop solar projects.

The minimum capacity utilization factor for each year from the date of the commissioning of the project should be 15 per cent. The solar modules to be used must qualify the latest edition of the IEC PV module qualification test or the equivalent Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) crystalline silicon solar modules test. The efficiency of the solar modules should not be less than 16 per cent.

The bidder should have completed the supply, installations, and commissioning of grid-connected solar projects of a minimum cumulative capacity of 50 per cent of the quoted capacity on or after April 1, 2017. The said project should have been commissioned at least one month before the start of the tender for any state agency, central government agency, autonomous body, or private sector.

The minimum domestic content required in solar modules should be 100 per cent. The solar modules should be procured from the latest Approved List of Models and Manufacturers issued by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy.

The last date to submit the bids online is October 13, 2021. Bids will be opened on October 14.
