JLTM Energy Signs CPPA With Alstom To Build 300KW Rooftop Solar Project in Coimbatore

The CPPA signed with Alstom, for a period of 15 years, proposes a price of electricity significantly lower than the tariff imposed by the government

JLTM Energy India, the Indian subsidiary of French renewable power producer Technique Solaire Group, has announced that it has signed a Corporate Power Purchase Agreement (CPPA) with French mobility solutions developer Alstom.

Under the agreement, JLTM will construct a 300 kW AC rooftop solar project at an Alstom factory in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, southern India.

The construction of this self-consumption installation is likely to begin at the end of August and will be commissioned by the end of 2021, the company said in a statement.

The CPPA signed with Alstom, for a period of 15 years, proposes a price of electricity significantly lower than the tariff imposed by the government.

“The signing of this CPPA confirms our commitment and involvement in the development of solar energy in India, especially with industrial and commercial partners,” said Manu Bishnoi, Director of Technique Solaire India (JLTM).

This is Technique Solaire’s second CPPA in India and it follows the successful commissioning of a project with the Goa Institute of Management (GIM).
