This project is expected to generate 5.05 lakh units per annum and help save ISSER around `9 lakh annually
CleanMax Solar, the sustainability partner for India’s leading corporates and Institutions, has installed a 346 kWp capacity rooftop solar plant at the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh.
The plant, which is spread across the ISSER Bhopal campus on a roof area of 46,000 square feet, was inaugurated by Ministry of Earth Sciences secretary M Rajeevan and IISER Bhopal Director Prof Siva Umapathy on Friday.
This project is expected to generate 5.05 lakh units per annum and help save ISSER around `9 lakh annually.
The company has installed the rooftop solar plant at IISER Bhopal based on the ‘pay as you go’ or OPEX/RESCO model which is investment free, risk free and hassle free. It will provide energy at tariffs 30 per cent cheaper than the prevailing grid tariff.
Solar plant installed at Mandoli Jail in Delhi
CleanMax Solar had early this month installed a rooftop solar power plant with a capacity of 736 kilowatt (KW) in Mandoli Jail in Delhi.
The project is part of the company’s 2.5-megawatt contract with the Delhi government’s power generation arm Indraprastha Power.
CleanMax Solar said that the plant will help save Rs 51.5 lakh per annum for the jail and reduce carbon dioxide emission of 1,618 tonnes annually.
Mention may be made here that the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) had in February approved the second phase of grid-connected rooftop solar program with central financial support of Rs 11,814 crore to achieve a cumulative capacity of 40 GW by 2022.
