- Servotech Power Systems and EMCOR will Establish 1000 EV Charging Stations in India.
- As outlined by the agreement, these sites will serve as the foundation for installing EV chargers.
In a move set to transform India’s electric vehicles (EV) charging landscape, Servotech Power Systems Ltd. has entered into an MOU with EMCOR Power Solutions. EMCOR is known for its EV charging Charge point operator (CPO) solutions and advanced batteries. It is the Indian start-up arm of EMCOR International, a Kuwait-based trading titan affiliating to the Oil and Gas sector and various governmental departments.
This collaboration will lead to the establishment of 1,000 CPO sites provided by EMCOR to Servotech. These sites are designated for EV charger installations, with Servotech spearheading the manufacturing and placement of 30kW, 60kW, and even higher capacity DC fast EV chargers. The rollout is strategic and aimed at meeting diverse power needs across India. Starting with 100 chargers in South India, the project plans a PAN India expansion in subsequent phases.
Servotech’s MD, Raman Bhatia, shed light on the partnership’s significance: “This MOU is a big leap toward achieving comprehensive EV adoption in India. Beyond chargers, India needs an all-encompassing EV charging network. As a dominant player in the Indian EV charger market, we’re poised to turn this vision into tangible infrastructure. We trust that our in-depth industry insight and commitment to excellence will make this collaboration triumphant.”
Byju Kuniyil, the MD of EMCOR Power Solutions & EMCOR International GTC, Kuwait, echoed the optimism. “As frontrunners in sustainable energy, we believe in fostering innovation and forging impactful partnerships. Our alliance with the company reiterates our commitment to infuse the Indian mobility sector with top-tier tech solutions. Our goal is to play an instrumental role in shaping India’s sustainable mobility future, and this partnership with the company is a pivotal step in that direction.”This tie-up stands as a testament to both companies’ dedication to revolutionising India’s EV charging infrastructure, potentially influencing the nation’s sustainable mobility trajectory.
