Orkus, a leading brand of Compact Lamps Private Limited has launched a range of LED products for the Indian market. After seeing its initial success, the company is striving for obtaining a revenue of Rs 1000 crore in the next three years. Orkus currently has a broad distribution network throughout India, and has 30 per cent market share.
Orkus has brought about a several LED products including LED Bulbs, LED Panels, LED Spot and LED Tube lights. The company will be making an investment of Rs 100 crore over the next three years for ramping up its LED manufacturing facilities, capabilities as well as for promotion.
With its existing strong presence in North India, the company is planning to enter into South India via a dealers meet that was recently held in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. The meet was attended by over 500 dealers. At the meet, Orkus showcased all of its products coupled with live demo sessions. The product that stood out at the meet was the 3in 1 lamps and panels.

Besides expanding our market into metro cities, we are also focusing on developing and strengthening our dealers’ network in tier-II and III cities. On the back of huge market demand for our products, I’m sure we will successfully be able to achieve the revenue target of Rs. 1000 Crore in the next three years.”
Orkus has won an order from Energy Efficiency Services Ltd (EESL) for the supply of 9W LED lamps. EESL has handed this contract to Compact Lamps to supply these LED lamps to different areas in Andhra Pradesh as well as Kerala.
