LED Expo Mumbai 2019 Shines With Increased Visitors Growth

Adding to the growth dynamics of the show, LED Expo Mumbai 2019 concludes successfully with 10,221 trade buyers. The successful edition clearly reflected that the nation is heading towards adapting smart and solar lights with an evident growth in the exhibitors displaying these revolutionary technologies.

The recent edition of LED Expo Mumbai 2019 highlighted the most demanding categories within the LED industry – solar lights and smart lights. The 20th edition of the exhibition showcased products ranging from quintessential LED lights and components to need-of-the-hour integrated and semi-integrated solar technologies and automated lighting. The pioneer show already displaying 21 per cent growth with 295 exhibitors, attracted 10,221 business visitors indicating a 6 per cent surge from its previous visiting count.

Raj Manek, executive director and board member of Messe Frankfurt Asia Holding Ltd said: “As the country moves levels ahead in the LED revolution, I am happy to say that LED Expo Mumbai 2019 has once again proved to be a pioneer business hub for the development of this technology in India. I am also grateful to everyone who continues to trust the platform by bringing comprehensive products and technologies to the show floor every edition.”

An array of products on display
Many exhibitors catering to residential, architectural and hospitality lighting showcased LED lights with sleek designs, colour and temperature control, Wi-Fi/Bluetooth enabled smart lights adapting to the recent needs of changing lifestyle and fashion. Talking about their newly launched products, Dhaval Shah, director, Western Electricals shared: “This year we have introduced frameless panels and downlight COBs that can change colours as per personal requirements. The footfall to our stall has been great and we are hoping for more valuable customers in the coming days. We are thankful for the organisers to give us this platform for business.” Other companies showcasing exquisitely designed smart LED lamps and luminaries were Lafit Lighting, Smartlight, and Akhandjyot to name a few.

Amongst many solar lighting companies present at the show, companies like Hi-Way launched fully integrated solar street lights with the solar panel and street light combined in one compact design. These lights with 12-15 hours back up are now being demonstrated to local and rural government bodies to encourage the use of solar lights as street lights.

On the other hand, visitors were satisfied that the exhibitors displayed advancements in-line with the latest trends and evolutions in the Indian LED industry. The current edition also saw government officials paying a visit to the show, looking out for smart and efficient lighting alternatives. Deepak Suthar, chief engineer, Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation, shared: “I am visiting LED Expo Mumbai in search for smart indoor and outdoor lights available in India. I also found a company that offered smart poles which had various features in-build in it. I am happy that the platform offers options like these to help us stay updated with latest trends in the industry.”

Government support
Another government official, SK Marwah, senior director, Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India shared: “This industry in its own way is contributing to the sustainable environment. A new national policy in electronics has been chartered out which has a special focus on the LED sector because of its obvious advantages. We want to invite all the global manufacturers to set up their base in India. India today, offers an excellent environment to LED manufacturers.”

Giving his opinion of the show he further added: “I have been following LED Expo for quite a few years now. It is really amazing to see the new technologies, products, lighting systems, manufacturing equipment and the overall participation and interest among the exhibitors and visitors at the show. I have seen the exhibition grow with this year’s edition being the best.”

Impressed by the quality of technologies and visitors at the show, business visitors like Shivam Agarwal director of ALC Studios and Sandeep Kumar Yadav, director, Addison India mentioned wanting their own stalls in the future editions.

From small scale industries to large scale manufacturers, suppliers, inventors and buyers, LED Expo as a brand has become synonymous to trust, quality and trend. With an evident change in the technologies displayed at the show, it is safe to say that India has progressed tremendously in the LED sector and LED Expo is keeping pace with it. With the kind of development seen in the industry, the next edition of LED Expo 2019 is scheduled from 14 – 16 November 2019 New Delhi, will see innovative technologies and future based product profiles on display.
