Through the app, users will be able to check availability of slots at charging stations in the country and book them online, said a government official to Economic Times.
The English Daily reported that the application will enable advance remote booking of charging slots by electric vehicle owners. The application will also provide information regarding location, types and number of chargers installed and available during a given time period.
Data of all public charging stations across India will be available through the app. The data is being compiled by the power ministry’s planning wing, Central Electricity Authority (CEA). Presently, there are 150 charging stations in India.
