Magenta Power Announces EV Charging Station Exclusively for Mahindra EV

Magenta Power has equipped station with a 24-hour assistance and a ChargeGrid application set to provide information on the availability of chargers

Energy solutions provider, Magenta Power has announced to set up its first electric vehicles (EV) charging station in Bengaluru, exclusively for Mahindra’s three-wheeler EV, Treo.  Earlier it had set up EV charging corridor at the Mumbai-Pune Expressway.

Speaking on the setup, Maxson Lewis, Managing Director, Magenta Power said, “We are delighted to join hands with Mahindra (for Treo vehicles) for an exclusive partnership as it will help people to shift to EV a for better tomorrow.” He added that the move would help in bringing about the much-awaited EV revolution in the country.

The charging station will also provide an interconnected network of accessible charging stations supported by a 24-hour assistance

ChargeGrid Application

Magenta has equipped the charging stations with an app called ChargeGrid, which will show the availability of chargers along the route, coupled with their status at an individual socket level. It will also detect chargers within 500 meters with the help of geofencing algorithms. Magenta, with this app, aims to provide a better ‘driving and charging’ experience for the owners of electric vehicles.

Magenta-Mahindra partnership

Magenta and Mahindra’s partnership is aiming to create an independent and open network for charging infrastructure that will further cater to the demands of EV charging stations. The energy solutions provider is also collaborating with Tata to provide a better EV charging experience.

Magenta Power deals with solar PV based systems, solar water heaters, wind turbine systems and bioenergy. It has more than 100 customer-base and it has set up and operated large-scale energy projects such as supercritical thermal power plants, commercial solar power plants, biomass and mines in India, Canada, Australia, Thailand, Malaysia, South Africa and UAE.
