Sony Cyber-shot DSC-WX800 Compact Camera Launched in India

Cyber-shot DSC-WX800 comes equipped with a back illuminated 18.2-megapixel Exmor RTM CMOS sensor and is powered by an upgraded and faster BIONZ X processor

Sony India has announced the launch of Cyber-shot DSC-WX800 Compact High-Zoom Camera in India. The company is claiming that the Cyber-shot DSC-WX800 camera sports the “world’s smallest body” in its category. It will be available for a price tag of Rs 34,990.

The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-WX800 Compact High-Zoom Camera With 4K Video Support will be the latest addition to Sony’s Cybershot line-up and imaging camera portfolio in India.

Sony CyberShot WX800 features

Capable of recording 4K videos, the Sony WX800 Cybeshot sports Zeiss Vario-Sonnar T High Magnification Zoom lens. It comes equipped with a back illuminated 18.2-megapixel Exmor RTM CMOS sensor and is powered by an upgraded and faster BIONZ X processor. The optical SteadyShot supports image stabilisation.

A zoom assist function allows users to zoom out temporarily and displays a wider area when shooting a subject at the telephoto end. Sony CyberShot WX800 camera’s ZEISS Vario-Sonnar T 24-720mm magnifying lens is perfect for capturing daily life movements.

Sony claims that their latest addition to the cybershot range of cameras can easily capture 4K videos with no pixel binning. The DSC-WX800 integrates Sony’s Bionz X image processing engine with a front-end LSI in order to deliver high-speed continuous shooting at up to 10fps with a buffer limit of up to 155 images.

Features like autofocus in just 0.09 seconds, touch focus/touch shutter function, eye autofocus, RAW format image recording, sensitivity up to ISO 6400 for low-light photography are other USPs of the product. A 180-degree tilt able LCD touchscreen makes framing easy while taking selfie shots.

Sony CyberShot WX800 Connectivity

The Sony WX800 CyberShot camera supports Bluetooth for enabling real-time photo and video transfers to smartphones. Users can directly upload photo clicked to websites and social media as well.

It is compatible with Android devices that use Android 5.0 or later versions of the operating software. These devices are required to support Bluetooth 4.0 or its other latest versions. Sony WX800 CyberShot works with all iPhone models that were launched after iPhone 4S (including 4S).

Sony CyberShot WX800 will be available in India from October 29 2018.
