Vikram Solar has won a solar project worth Rs 1,750 crore from National Thermal Power Corporation Limited (NTPC) under the CPSU-II scheme. The solar plant is to be set-up in Rajasthan over 1500 Acres of land.

I am certain that this 300 MW plant will see successful execution within agreed time frame and our partnership will continue to support India in providing ‘Power for All’,” stated Saibaba Vutukuri, CEO, Vikram Solar.
This project was secured by Vikram Solar in a reverse bidding auction. It was initially tendered under the domestic content requirement (DCR) category of the central public sector undertaking (CPSU) scheme.
Third project for NTPC
This is the third solar project by NTPC that Vikram Solar is working on. The company has previously executed a solar project worth 130 MW capacity in Bhadla, Rajasthan, and a 50 MW one in Mandsaur, Madhya Pradesh. Notably this is the second solar project for Vikram Solar (by NTPC) in Rajasthan.
“Vikram Solar has had a long standing business relation with NTPC. Previously, we have executed 50 MW solar plant project in Mandsaur, Madhya Pradesh and 130 MW solar project in for NTPC.It is projects like these which demonstrate the trust in Vikram Solar’s project management and execution skills,” informed Venkat Muvvala, head of EPC and O&M, Vikram Solar.
Vikram Solar has also executed solar projects in Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat and UP. It has worked with the likes of NTPC, WBSDCL, GIPCL, BEL, BHEL, ISRO, IOCL, SBI, APGENCO, IMFA, Century Ply and KBL in the past.
