The Latest Offerings In Low And Medium Volume Pick-And-Place Machines

Due to the ever-changing requirements of customers, the latest medium and low volume pick-and-place machines have become more accurate, flexible and automated.

Low and medium volume pick-and-place machines are required for SMT production and prototyping. They are in demand in a variety of sectors including LED lighting, defence, consumer electronics, automotive, medical electronics, aerospace and more. The functions provided by these machines are regularly enhanced to meet the changing industry needs. Buying a pick-and-place machine involves a huge investment, so buyers must keep up to date with the latest models to ensure productivity. In this article, we introduce some new models.

A few of the latest products available in the market

Model: YSM20R Type PV; Manufacturer: Yamaha Motor Co. Ltd
Yamaha has launched the YSM20R, a new surface mounter that accommodates a wide range of production formats with flexibility and efficiency, as well as a mounting speed of 95,000 cph.The model offers high productivity, adaptability to various components and a superior production changeover ability based on its ‘one-head solution’ concept. This accommodates a wide range of component sizes—from super small chips to large components—with a single type of head. With the YSM20R, Yamaha has focused on increasing XY-axis speeds and revising the actions involved from pick-up to placement. It has successfully improved mounting speed by approximately 5 per cent compared to the YSM20. Also, by improving the performance of the wide-scan camera on the head, the YSM20R can mount components up to 12mm×12mm in size (up from 8mm×8mm) at high speed, thus improving productivity.Key features:
