The quantity of these solar cells can be increased or decreased as per requirements posted by Rajasthan Electronics and Instruments Limited
Rajasthan Electronics and Instruments Limited (REIL) has floated a tender for procuring 200,000 mono solar cells. Also referred to as multicrystalline solar cells, REIL is looking to procure these in a wattage output of 4.57 Watts. REIL is a joint venture between the government of India and the government of Rajasthan.
The authority have notified 1 September 2021 as the last date to submit the bids. The bids placed will be opened on 13 September 2021.
This tender is for the supply of four to five busbar monocrystalline or multicrystalline silicon solar cells that are 156*156 ± 1.0 mm or 156.75*156.75 ± 1.0 mm in dimension. The thickness of the solar cells should be 200 +/- 20 µm.
Suppliers, or parties interested in bidding but have not supplied these earlier, are mandated to submit 140 solar cells free of cost to REIL. The latter will be testing, evaluating and then finalizing whether these new suppliers are fit for assignments or not.
REIL has fixed 25 per cent of the tender for micro and small enterprise (MSE) suppliers. Preference will be given to suppliers and manufacturers giving importance to indigenious products. In case of failing to meet the deadlines set by REIL the party will have to pay liquidated damages at 1% of the value of the items per week, subject to a maximum of 10 per cent of the unit delivered price of each unit so delayed.
