Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar and Finance and Industries Minister Captain Abhimanyu is on a visit to Russia after they were invited by Minister of Government of Moscow Sergey Cheremin to discuss numerous investment opportunities in Haryana and the Russian Minister said that they keen to invest in the state.
Russia has shown interest in areas of semiconductop manufacturing and aerospace. While welcoming the decision, Haryana has said that the state’s new policy encourages defence and aerospace investments and the state will provide special incentives those who would be investing in this domain.
In a recently concluded global business summit which was held in Gurgaon, the state received immense interest from many investors. About 359 Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) were signed during the Investors Summit with investment proposals to the tune of Rs 5.84 lakh crores.
It would be also exciting if Russia plans to come up with a chip manufcaturing unit in the state because India has always been lacking a chip manufcaturing unit as it is very capital intensive. But with the support of the state government, this can become a reality in the country.
