- Ola Electric, TVS, Ather, Bajaj, and Greaves maintain their positions as the five top-selling electric scooter OEMs in India
There seems to be no shift in the sales leadership podium for high-speed electric two-wheelers (E2Ws) in India during August 2023. The sector also seems to be reviving itself against 54,502 E2Ws sold in July 2023; a total of 62353 were sold during August 2023.
Data from the Vahan dashboard (See Chart Above) indicates that Ola Electric maintains India’s lead in electric scooter sales. It closed the month with 18,621 E2W registrations. However, Month-On-Month (MoM), its sales fell as it had sold 19,343 electric scooters in July 2023.
TVS Motor Company, maintaining its second spot on the podium, also saw increased MoM sales. Compared to 10,383 E2Ws it registered in July 2023, the OEM could register 15,365 E2Ws in August 2023. Ola Electric and TVS have revealed their new launches in this category during August 2023.

As against 2,158 E2W units registered during July 2023, Greaves Vehicles saw registrations of 2,853 electric scooters in August. The sixth spot was occupied by Okinawa, with 1,969 E2W registrations during August 2023.
