MeitY Secretary Ajay Prakash Sawhney will inaugurate the MeitY Startup Hub portal tomorrow (May 10) at 3 PM.
The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) has set up a nodal entity, called MeitY Start-up Hub (MSH) to promote technology innovation, startups and creation of Intellectual Properties.
MeitY Secretary Ajay Prakash Sawhney will inaugurate the MeitY Startup Hub portal tomorrow (May 10) at 3 PM.
According to an official statement released by MeitY, MSH will act as a national coordination, facilitation and monitoring centre that will integrate all the incubation centers and startup and innovation related activities of MeitY.
It will also act as the nodal agency for implementation of (Technology Incubation and Development of Entrepreneurs) TIDE 2.0 scheme. The filing of application forms for TIDE 2.0 Incubation Centres will be facilitated through the MSH portal.
Under the TIDE 2.0 scheme, the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology is aiming to provide financial support to 51 incubators and close to 2000 tech startups pan India.
MeitY Startup Hub (MSH) along with Centre-of-Excellence in IPR (CoE-IP) will provide all IPR related services/support to startups emerging out of TIDE 2.0, the Ministry said.

MSH to facilitate industry connect and fundraising for startups
Through its Startup Hub, Meity aims to give a boost to the emerging tech startup ecosystem of India.
During 2015-2018, Indian startups filed nearly 200 patents in the US, majority of which focused on emerging technology areas like Image Processing, AI, Cyber Security, Vehicle Technology and IoT.
The Meity Startup Hub (MSH) will facilitate commercialisation of technology solutions for market outreach for startups.
It will provide technical and business advisory through a cache of experts and mentors and will facilitate industry connect, fundraising through VCs/Angles for startups.
In addition, it will be working on creating an enabling ecosystem for Indian startups to incubate overseas on very easy and affordable terms.
