India welcomes Chinese industries to participate and invest in the expansion of Indian Electric Vehicles (EV) Market.
NITI Aayog Principal Advisor Anil Srivatsava, who led an industry delegation from India in China, met Chen Qingtai, President of China EV100, and invited China’s participation in India’s ambitious plans to go for full electric mobility, reported PTI.
Through a press release from the Indian Embassy in Beijing on Sunday, Srivastava said that for India’s ambitious target of achieving electric mobility by 2030, India sees very substantive role for the Chinese EV players.
During his meeting with Chen, Srivatsava pointed out that given the market size of India and China together, there is huge cooperation potential for EV industries of both countries.
Suggesting that EV industries of both countries should have more interaction, he proposed to establish a formal interaction mechanism between an Indian EV Industry association, supported by NITI Aayog, and China EV100, which can meet periodically.
He further proposed to organise an industry meet for players from both sides in the first half of this year in Beijing at a suitable venue to explore cooperation possibilities between EV Industries of the two countries, the release said.
