Chinese telecom gear maker-Huawei has appointed Bi Yunfeng as the new chief executive officer of Huawei Technologies India which is the company’s first and largest overseas R&D center.
Yunfeng succeeds William Zhao, who has taken up a leadership role in software engineering at Huawei’s Consumer Business Group in Shenzhen, China.
The company in a statement today said Yunfeng would work towards strengthening the R&D capabilities of the center while collaborating with the industry ecosystem for ICT solutions.
Yunfeng is responsible for leading the R&D center’s growth and competitiveness in new business areas and enhancing Huawei Technologies India’s position. He will also be undertaking strategic decisions and chart out growth plans for India.
Huawei’s R&D centre in Bangalore is focused on developing software for telecom solutions, IT and cloud solutions, consumer devices, as well as providing professional services for global operators.
