Model Economic Township, which is owned by Reliance Industries is all geared to develop an electronics manufacturing hub and footwear park at Jhajjar, Haryana. The park is going to be set up with an investment of Rs 1300 crore.
The township is expecting that the electronic hub and footwear park will garner a further investment of Rs 2,600 crore from units that are going to be set up within it and generate 20,000 employment opportunities.
There are two Memorandum of Understanding (MOUs) that have been entered into with the Haryana government during the Happening Haryana global investors summit. This is with the aim of developing 450-acre electronic manufacturing clusters and 500-acres footwear park. The two are going to be part of 8,000 acre industrial town that is being developed by the company.
As per Model Economic Township Limited’s director SV Goyal, “We are developing a large industrial town in Jhajjar district spread over 8,000 acres. We have already developed 290 acres. Now the company has decided to set up an electronic hub and footwear park. “
He also added that according to the MOUs, the Haryana government is going to assist in obtaining all approvals on a fast track basis and will offer eligibility incentives to the units which are going to be set up in both the electronic hub as well as the footwear park.
