EV charging infrastructure startup EVRE announced its partnership with electric fleet mobility startup MoEVing. Under the partnership, EVRE will set up 1,000 EV charging stations across India within the next six months which will be utilised by MoEVing and other EV fleet owners.
The long-term partnership will also be based on an innovative business model, where charging stations can be cross-utilised, the company said in a media release.
The companies are already partnering in Bengaluru, where MoEVing is using EVRE public charging stations and parallelly, EVRE is also using MoEVing charging stations.
EVRE will conceptualise the designing, manufacturing, establishing, operating and maintaining of the EV charging infrastructure. The technology for all the chargers, existing and upcoming, will be owned and operated by EVRE. MoEVing will help EVRE in the demand assessment of the sites to set up charging stations for higher utilisation.
As per the release, the phase-wise implementation will include EVRE setting up 200 charging stations in Bengaluru, 200 in Hyderabad and the rest in Kolkata, Chennai, Delhi NCR, Chandigarh, Pune and Mumbai.
Over the next six months, EVRE and MoEVing will work together to strengthen charging infrastructure across these cities and ensure access to this infrastructure to support MoEVing’s expanding commercial EV fleet across urban communities, the release said.
