Electronic manufacturing services (EMS) company Syrma Technology has announced that it has majorly expanded its engineering facilities by renovating its 30,000 sqaure feet manufacturing centre in the special economic Zone in Chennai. The company supplies customised power eletctronics to 20 worldwide original equipment manufacturers (OEMs). The advanced facility will support complete board and box-builds for power electronics and custom assemblies, combined with full system integration to meet every customer’s precise specifications.
Syrma is headquatered in the United States and this Chennai manufacturing plant is dedicated to supply customised solutions to worldwide OEMs. Product units from the Chennai facility can be conveniently shipped directly to customers worldwide via strategic access to the nearby air and sea ports of Mumbai.
According to Sreeram Srinivasan, CEO, Syrma, “Our many conversations with OEMs revealed a real vacuum in their EMS options when it came to a one-stop, end-to-end product cycle — from design, to testing, through production. Our major reinvestment in our Chennai plant builds upon Syrma’s longtime engineering strengths, now offering a world-class dedicated facility to deliver top-quality box-builds for customers large or small.”
India’s economy has been growing steadily and this has ensured that global investments in the manufacturing sector has been happening at a brisk pace in the country.
