The Chhattisgarh government has signed memorendum of understanding (MoU) with three companies in the electronics sector. According to a government official, the MoUs were signed in presence of state Chief Minister Raman Singh at his official residence. State’s Department of Commerce & Industries Secretary Subodh Kumar Singh signed the MoUs on behalf of the state government with the representatives of companies, he said.
The three electronics companies with whom the MoUs were signed includes SDSL Electronics Pvt. Ltd, Ligero Electronics Pvt. Ltd, and Beesons. All these three companies would be setting up LED manufacturing units in the electronic manufacturing cluster which is coming up at Naya Raipur. These three companies will be investing around Rs 60 crore in the state.
With the central government’s ‘Make in India’ initiative gaining momentum, there are numerous states which are offering sops for companies those who will be setting up manufacturing units. Chhattisgarh is also trying its best to lure investors who would be willing to invest not only in electronics but other verticals in the state.
Chhattisgarh Industries Minister Amar Agrawal, state Chief Secretary Vivek Dhand, Principle Secretary to the Chief Minister Aman Kumar Singh among other officials were present on the occasion.
