After a brief hiatus BPL is back and today in a press conderence held in Delhi, the company has launched slw of offerings for the home automation and surveillance market. All these products are being manufactured ai their Bengaluru facility and the company believes that it tap 10 per cent of market share in the survelliance segment in the next two to three years. The survelliance market in India is currently pegged at Rs 3,000 crore.
According to K Vijaya Kumar, CEO, BPL, “We believe that we have entered the home automation and survelliance market at the right time. India has huge potential in the survelliance space and we will be first company who will have end-to-end survelliance solutions in the country. We will be the first company to launch drone cameras in the country and it will be in the market in the next three to six months.”
Kumar also said that all these products are getting indigeneously manufactured in their Bengaluru facility and they have been working on bringing out these products for the last three to four years.
The company has also appointed 10 national distributors. In Delhi and NCR, the company has appointed Elcom as its distributor. BPL has also tied up with Flipkart where oit sells televisions, refrigerators and washing machines.
In the home automation segment the company has solutions starting from Rs 50,000 and the higher end solutions can cost upto Rs 20 lakh. In case of survelliance products the company has launched around 80 products, with price starting from Rs 1,000 to Rs 5 lakh.
