Top executives from ReNew Power and Transport Corporation of India have been appointed as key officials of Assocham
The Managing Director of Transport Corporation of India has been appointed as the new president of Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (Assocham). Vineet Agarwal has been associated with the Transport Corporation of India since January 1996. Similarly, Assocha has also appointed Sumant Sinha as the senior vice president. Sinha is currently associated with ReNew Power as its Managing Director and Chairman.
“The post-pandemic period would be full of challenges and opportunities; I would work with all the stakeholders – industry, government, academic, civil society and the Assocham employees to leverage the unfolding opportunities,” said Agarwal through an official note.
Agarwal is a graduate from Carnegie Mellon University, USA. He has also completed the Owner President Management program from Harvard Business School. He was also a member of board of directors at YPO for over three years.
Sinha on the other hand, has worked with the likes of Tata, Citicorp, ING Barings, Aditya Birla Group and Suzlon Group in the past. A b.tech from IIT Delhi, Sinha also holds a MBA from IIM Calcutta and has completed MIA from Columbia University.
