A. After doing a lot of study and research on the Indian market, we have launched an extensive range of products that suit a wide range of customer requirements from large enterprises and data centers to SOHO offices to consumers.
To meet the growing demand for green IT products, CyberPower has designed the efficient GreenPower UPS Energy-Saving Technology. As one of the industry’s leading UPS manufacturers at the international level, CyberPower has incorporated green practices throughout the operation in addition to high quality, reliability and durability, including the full compliance to the Restriction on Hazardous Substances (RoHS), in accordance with Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) protocols, certification of ENERGY STAR, receiving ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems and IECQ QC 080000 HSPM Hazardous Substance Process Management Standards. CyberPower also ensures the “Greening” of all its packaging practices and materials to ensure the maximum contribution to the environment.
Besides high quality, reliability and comparatively low-price products, effective marketing, sales promotions, advertisements, online visibility and other factors are prominently fueling our success.
Q. What is the USP of your product?
A. Customer satisfaction is dependent on the way their expectations are met and how well we deliver our services. CyberPower is a highly approved brand worldwide. Besides being of proven high-quality and reliability, our products are 15-20 per cent less expensive compared to competing brands which delights our customers and maintains long-term relationships.
Today the main expectations of the consumers, who are more aware of technology and other aspects than ever before, are looking for features such as quality, reliability, green performance, etc.
With the target at global branding, what we provide is not only award-winning engineering excellence but reliable and innovative power protection for the sense of security.
Q. Why do you think this product is the right match for the Indian market?
A. The IT sector has been India’s sunshine sector for quite some time now. The industry has contributed considerably to changing India’s image from a slow developing economy to a global player in providing world-class technology solutions.
Our solutions are affordable, reliable and are a perfect match with India demands. So far, the solutions are working well, and we plan to push our products through a channelized distribution for pan India.
Q. How has your experience of doing business in India been so far? Who are your ideal B2B customers?
A. CyberPower has been doing business in India since 2013. Our head office is in Mumbai, India. We are doing successful business pan-India with many customers and partners.
We have our national distributors, SUPERTRON and INGRAM and the products are available to our valued partners and retailers. So we can say that these two are strong support. And of course, without any strong bonding, it is not possible to do business in the market. We also have a direct distribution structure in place for the key accounts and have a good relationship in business with them as well. We have done our brand awareness in the Indian market in many ways. i.e., BTL activities, ATL activities, partner shop brandings, partners meet, exhibitions etc. to make CyberPower a well-known brand for UPS in the Indian market.
Major customers remain to be banks, financial institutions, IT companies, telecom companies, infrastructure development companies etc.
Q. Are you looking for additional agents (distributors, channel partners, etc.) in India? Who should the interested agents contact?
A. Yes, definitely we would be glad to have agents/partners who are willing to have a business tie-up with us. There are no certain specifications for it.
They may contact Sandeep Shirodkar – Business Manager, MD Office.
Q. What is your target of growth in the near future and where does India feature in your global operation plans?
A. Growing sectors like telecom and IT are giving us the opportunity to establish as a long-term value-added partner in the industry.
The market is flooded with many brands and options for the supply of UPS. But we wish to operate out of our niche market by providing complete solutions under one roof. There is hardly any player from the UPS industry who provides such value-added products and solutions under one roof.
CyberPower’s focus remains to provide a variety of power solutions for power, telecom, renewable energy projects, the upcoming automotive sector etc.
As India is a highlight across Asian countries, we believe that, through our knowledge and experience from over 50 countries, we could expect a promising future in India.
