On a mission to make the world greener by accelerating the global shift to electric transportation, Noodoe empowers businesses to turn parking lots into profitable EV charging networks. In a conversation with Ashe Kao, Director- Marketing & Public Relations, Electronics For You delved into how the company is disrupting the EV space.
Q. Tell us a bit about Noodoe
A. Noodoe was established in Taiwan in 2013. It is headquartered in Taiwan and has a subsidiary in California, USA. John Wang is currently the founder and chairman of Noodoe.
He joined HTC in the early foundry period in 2003 and established HTC MAGIC Labs in 2005 to create marketable forward-looking products. He served as the Chief Marketing Officer when HTC’s stock price was over a thousand dollars, and played an important role in the critical moment of Android’s global rollout. He also meticulously painted HTC’s corporate culture and brand to expand the global market.
After leaving HTC, Noodoe was founded in 2013 to embrace the era of zero-emission electric vehicles (EV) with innovation.
Noodoe has an international and world-class professional knowledge team, the team comes from the former HTC creative research and development center and marketing business elite, with decades of experience.
Enterprise research and development content includes industrial design, user experience design, firmware design, software, hardware design, radio frequency technology, manufacturability engineering, mechanical engineering, brand marketing strategy, electronic hardware design, international business, and cloud services.
Q. How do you define your product category(s) to customers? How is it different from those of your competitors?
A. EV charging service can be applied in different locations, such as hotels, parking lot, automakers, governments, smart city solutions, and etc. Our product falls under smart city/smart transportation/intelligent building.
Noodoe EV OS is one of the most advanced cloud-based operating platforms today.
It is the electric vehicle charging network’s “central brain”. It can run charging points at multiple locations and automate the entire operation of an EV charging network.
What makes Noodoe EV OS different is the core technology that empowers extreme automation. Operators can now achieve the lowest possible operating costs with the least effort. Our EV charger management system is so automated that revenue generation is nearly automatic and continuous for network operators big and small.

Q. Can you share the names of some leading customers?
A. EVCS, Green water and power, Southern California EDISON, Audi, Volvo, Jaguar Land Rover and IKEA are some of our leading customers.
Q. What percentage of your annual revenue is for exports (outside Taiwan & Mainland China)?
A. Exports constitute 25 per cent of our total annual revenue.
Q. Which are the top nations you export to?
A. We are currently exporting to America, Canada, Singapore, Thailand, among others.
Q. Have you been doing business with India? Do you have plans to set up operations in India any time soon?
A. So far we haven’t provided any offerings to Indian customers so we have not started business in India yet. At this point, we will first touch on potentials.
Q. Does that mean you are looking for agents to help you expand in India? Any special packages for them?
A. We are open to holding discussions with any potential partners. If they are interested, they may contact [email protected]. The packages should be discussed between two parties.
Q. What is your vision for the company in the future?
A. Today we are on the cusp of a revolution in transportation, with forecasts projecting 130 million EVs to hit the roads in the next 10 years. It’s time to ask the question “Is your city ready for the surging demand for EV charging services?”
