Top manufacturers of components in India

We are once again ranking the top component manufacturers in India, and are pleased to see their good performance in 2010-11 in comparison to their performance in 2009-10, despite the fact that electronic components are hardly manufactured in India. Hence, the component manufacturing sector does not significantly contribute to the electronics manufacturing business in India as major components are still imported. This survey will give readers some idea about the growth achieved by some key component manufacturers of the industry.

In comparison to last year, there has been no significant changes in the ranking pattern of the top eight companies. But a remarkable growth in their revenues has been observed. The top eight companies did not change positions from 2009-10 rankup. Incap and Harting have moved one position each.

Tuesday, November 06, 2012: We regret that we could not rank all the companies based on the latest financial year’s revenues (FY 2011-12), as many have not filed their latest revenues with the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA), Government of India, which is our source of information. We also verify these revenues with individual companies. Some major companies have been left out of the ranking as we could not procure their balance sheets from the MCA website, and some companies declined to disclose their revenues.

Disclaimer: While this survey is by no means comprehensive, it does provide a glimpse into some of India’s key component manufacturers. Though Electronics Bazaar’s editorial team has taken the utmost care to contact all possible sources to make the list comprehensive, we may have inadvertently left out a few companies from this list. Information contained in the following report has been obtained from sources deemed reliable, and Electronics Bazaar makes no claims with respect to its accuracy.
